One of the Plains states' best promotions, Evolution FC is making its first appearance on FloCombat's event hub from Wichita, Kansas on Saturday night. For its debut, EFC is showcasing two top MMA prospects and a slew of other talented up-and-comers.

Here are three reasons to watch:

Kansas' Best Middleweight

Chris Harris is on the verge of breaking onto the main card for Bellator. The undefeated 26-year-old Wichita-native is the highest-rated 185-pound prospect in his state, and he puts that No. 1 ranking on the line against fellow Bellator veteran Wayman Carter on Saturday.

Harris (7-0) has never lost a bout in his pro-am career. He often switches stances mid-fight to disguise his kicks, but his most powerful strike is his stiff right hand. In a unanimous decision win against Julian Marquez at Bellator 150, he showed he isn't afraid to get into a brawl.

Carter (6-3) is undefeated at middleweight and is currently on a four-fight win streak, including three wins by submission.

A main event win for Harris could mean big things for the prospect. The middleweight landscape is lacking young, undefeated talents. Depending on Harris' contract situation with Bellator, the UFC could be close to making him an offer.

Will Harris prove his top prospect status or will Carter spoil the hometown kid's showcase?

The Hometown Lightweight

The lightweight division is the toughest weight class to find success in, and EFC fighter Thai Clark is a good example of that grind.

Clark (6-0) hasn't lost a fight in three years, when he dropped a decision during his amateur career. Apt to his first name, the Wichita-native is a technical Muay Thai-based striker.

His opponent, Jesus Adame, is on a two-fight win streak and his making the drop down from 170 pounds for this fight. Adame (6-5) is a six-year veteran of the fight game and has fought as high as middleweight and as low as bantamweight.

Clark's long frame tends to give his opponents trouble on their feet, and Clark has a four-inch height advantage over Adame.

Although a trip down to featherweight might be in Clark's future, a decisive win over Adame could separate him from the crowded field of 155-pound prospects.

Finally Getting Paid to Scrap

The Sunflower State has no shortage of talented, up-and-coming fighters. EFC features three popular neo-fighters on this card, two of whom are making their long-awaited professional debut.

The first is Tapology's No. 1 amateur lightweight in the Midwest, Brexton Everett. For three years, this 155-pounder went 12-0 as an amateur and is finally making his pro debut against Edgar Urias (2-5).

Right after Everett's debut, EFC's next promising young fighter will make the walk. Twenty-three-year-old Steven Nguyen (1-0) is also unbeaten in his pro-am MMA career. Coincidently, Nguyen also faced Urias in his pro debut, but this time, he'll be taking on Steve Brown (0-2) at 145 pounds.

The next debuting pro fighter has EFC very excited. Alex McGowen is a veteran of the US Armed Forces and is matched up against Jordan Hernandez (2-14). McGowen won all six of his previous fights by submission and has never seen the third round.
