UFC veteran Ryan Jimmo is dead at 34.

The Canadian light heavyweight fighter was struck by a vehicle in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Sunday morning, according to a report from CBC News. The hit-and- run occurred around 2:15 a.m. in the parking lot of Edmonton's H20 Lounge.

According to the CBC News report, Jimmo approached a vehicle in the parking lot and was struck while walking away. The vehicle, a dark-colored pickup truck, then fled the scene. Jimmo passed away in the hospital shortly after the incident.

Jimmo was 19-5 as a professional fighter, most notably competing seven times inside the UFC Octagon. His UFC debut stands as one of the quickest knockouts in UFC history, as he took out Anthony Perosh in just seven seconds at UFC 149.

Overall, Jimmo posted a 3-4 record under the UFC banner, notching a Knockout of the Night bonus for his knockout over Perosh and a Performance of the Night bonus for his first-round knockout of Sean O'Connell at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale in April 2014.
