Valor Fights stacked the deck for May 21's APEX Fights 11 event, which will showcase some of the South's finest amateur competitors. Taking place at Northwest Elementary in Newport, Tennessee, the event features three title fights at the top of the card.

FloCombat will stream all the action as it happens live on Saturday. Here are three reasons you should spend your weekend with FloCombat and Apex fights:

1. Breakout potential

Title fights are fun regardless of where or when they take place. Winning an amateur title often signals that a fighter is ready to turn pro, meaning the next wave of professional mixed martial artists in Tennessee could be competing at APEX Fights 11. In an area that's produced standout fighters such as the UFC's Ovince Saint Preux and Scott Holtzman, there's no doubt the potential exists for another breakout star to emerge.

Tune in to see which fighters seize gold and take the next step toward professional action.

2. The main event

With three title fights on the line, your intrigue should already be piqued. If not, consider main event participant Trevor Wilds.

Wilds, at 5-0, is one of Tennessee's fastest-rising amateur prospects. In his most recent performance at APEX Fights 9, he choked out Michael Reeves in just two minutes. He was originally scheduled to face his APEX Fights 11 opponent, Mitchell Fleming, at Valor Fights 25 in August 2015, but the bout never materialized.

Like Wilds, Fleming is undefeated, and won all four of his amateur contests via submission. The title will be well earned in this one, and the winner will ascend to the next level with an impressive winning streak in hand.

3. The precedent has been set

The last Valor Fights card—May 14's Valor Fights 33—set the bar for all future events streaming here at FloCombat.

In the night's main event, undefeated middleweight champ Sid Wheeler and Kendrick Miree went back and forth for nearly five full rounds, clipping each other with hard shots and trading dominant positions for 23 minutes before Wheeler found the fight-ending choke. You can read the full recap here, and you can watch the archived event here (and seriously, you're going to want to do that).

While Wheeler vs. Miree wasn't necessarily a fight on everyone's radar, the result was as good as anything you'll see in professional MMA. When two driven, talented fighters get locked in the cage together, anything can happen, and the results are often spectacular.

Don't miss the next under-the-radar matchup like Wheeler vs. Miree—fire up your FloPro account Saturday, May 21, to catch the next Valor Fights event, APEX Fights 11, live.
