• Rankings based off age, record, and level of competition.

#1 -- Brendan Allen (8-2)

Fans on FloCombat got a glimpse of how talented this 21-year-old is last year when he defeated Sidney Wheeler by second-round submission in the main event of Valor Fights 39. Allen nearly earned himself a UFC contract this year before losing a unanimous decision to Eryk Anders at LFA 14 in June for the promotion's vacant middleweight championship. He has since started training full time at the prestigious Roufusport camp in Milwaukee, and it's paid off. Allen defeated No. 4-ranked Chris Harris at LFA 18 on August 4 by second-round submission to earn his sixth win in his last seven fights.

#2 -- Ian Heinisch (8-0)

Heinisch has been close to a UFC contract for quite some time, and his opponents have had a combined record of 44-21. The 28-year-old trains at Factory-X with the likes fellow middleweights Chris Camozzi, Anthony "Lionheart" Smith, and Dustin Jacoby. Heinisch is coming off a first-round victory over Lucas Rota at LFA 10 in April, which was just his second career win by submission. Heinisch fights Markus Perez (8-0) for the vacant LFA middleweight title on September 8. That's a bout to watch, as the winner will likely move on to the big stage.

#3 -- Andrew Todhunter (8-0)

Todhunter technically makes this list since he never actually fought for the UFC. He was slated to fight Albert Tumenov at UFC 188 in June 2015. However, Todhunter passed out during his weight cut and the fight was called off. From there, the 29-year-old was released from the Las Vegas-based promotion and is coming off a first-round submission victory over Evan Thompson at Legacy FC 54 in April 2016.

#4 -- Chris Harris (9-2)

Harris started his career off with a perfect 8-0 record, including a victory over recently signed UFC middleweight Julian Marquez at Bellator 150 last year. Since then, however, the 27-year-old has lost two of his last three fights with setbacks against Jordan Young and most recently against No. 1-ranked Brendan Allen at LFA 18 on August 4.

#5 -- Anthony Hernandez (5-0)

"Fluffy" doesn't like getting paid by the minute, as all five of his professional bouts have come by way of first-round stoppage. The 23-year-old is coming off a first-round submission victory over Mike Persons at Global Knockout 9. Before having to pull out due to injury, Hernandez was slated to face undefeated Brandon Hester on August 5 at Global Knockout 10.
