Two high-octane fighters with something to prove are set to collide when Daron Cruickshank squares off with Alex Trevino in the main event at KOP 58 later this month. The event is slated to take place on Sept. 30 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is streaming live and exclusively on FloCombat.

"The Detroit Superstar" Cruickshank will enter the bout at KOP 58 determined to start his march back toward the biggest stage in mixed martial arts where he first established his name. There's nothing Cruickshank wants more than to earn another shot at throwing down inside the Octagon, and he'll have the spotlight in full when he squares up to throw down with the always game Trevino.

In order to bring that dream to reality, Cruickshank will need to bring the versatile arsenal that has allowed him to notch a highlight reel of power knockouts over the course of his career. Cruickshank has also proven to be one of the most exciting strikers in the 155-pound ranks when he's firing on all cylinders, and that's precisely the mode he'll need to be in on Sept. 30 in Grand Rapids.

Standing across the cage on fight night, Trevino will also be staring down the barrel of a huge opportunity at KOP 58.

Trevino has experienced every side of the fight game as he's competed on the regional circuit and larger stages like Strikeforce alike. "The Spider" wants nothing more than to break through and finally earn a spot in the big leagues, and in facing an established name like Cruickshank, Trevino will have a chance to make a huge statement in a fight where the spotlight has never been brighter.

In the process of showing natural grit and tenacity, the 14-fight veteran has also shown resilience inside the cage. Trevino recently broke out of a rough patch by submitting Ryse Brink in the third round of their tilt at KOP 56 back in June. The victory over Brink was an impressive performance from the savvy veteran, and a potential win over Cruickshank would serve to bolster his personal profile in a huge way.
