Junior dos Santos was recently pulled from his upcoming UFC 215 matchup against Francis Ngannou because of a potential USADA violation. 

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the former UFC heavyweight champion dos Santos discussed the unfortunate news, giving a positive outlook on the situation as a whole. To hear dos Santos tell it, the flagged test was issued in error, and the truth will come out in due time. 

"This situation is very tough for me, my team, and my family, and I would never cheat," dos Santos said. "It goes against everything I stand for. I play the fair game. We will get to the bottom of this, figure out what happened, learn from it, and move on." 

In moving on, dos Santos also hopes to move backward -- to when the fight vs. Ngannou was originally announced. Dos Santos is not ready to give up on that fight just yet, and he said he would still like to face the rapidly rising heavyweight once this latest situation blows over. 

"I hope in the near future Francis Ngannou and me can face each other and give you guys the show you were expecting," he said. "For now, thank you very much for your support. It means a lot to me, and that's why I'm here. Good night."
