Logan Storley Smashes In Bellator Debut
After steamrolling his competition on the regional scene, the former All-American wrestler made his transition to the big stage as he stepped into the cage at Bellator 181 on Friday night. The undefeated super prospect squared off with Kemmyelle Haley in his promotional debut in Thackerville, Okla.
The buzz attached to the South Dakota native increased last month when it was announced the former Brock Lesnar protege opted for Bellator rather than sign on with the UFC. News of that move drew plenty of eyes in Storley's direction and he absolutely capitalized on the increase of attention.
Storley wasted no time putting his wrestling pedigree to use as he snatched a single leg and put Halley on the canvas. After a few moments of working inside his opponent's guard, Storley moved to the side and started dropping elbows on his opposition. After the first few strikes weren't returned, the six-time high school state champion turned up the volume and forced the referee to step in and stop the fight.
With the win Storley keeps his professional record flawless, and will draw a bigger challenge in his next outing under the Bellator banner.
