Conor McGregor Whiffs, Floyd Mayweather Takes Lackluster Third Tour Stop
The pound-for-pound boxing great and the reigning UFC lightweight champion have engaged in trash-talk and grandstanding at a level never before seen in the history of combat sports. Stops in Los Angeles and Toronto saw the two superstars launch verbal jabs full throttle, as each made plenty of soundbite gold in the process.
Many in the MMA community saw Mayweather taking the opening round, while the quick-witted Irishman smashed the second stop hands down. Either way it was scored, the noise generated only served to build all the more anticipation for Thursday's stop in Brooklyn.
The undefeated boxing legend and charismatic Irishman would once again square off in a war of words. Granted, it took two hours just to get Mayweather and McGregor to the stage, but once they arrived, the fireworks began.
The "Notorious" one in a mink (or polar bear?) coat.
"Money" Mayweather draped in the Irish flag.
Here are the biggest hits from the Mayweather vs. McGregor Brooklyn press stop.
"Let's address race. A lot of the media say I'm against black people. That's absolutely f*cking ridiculous. Don't they know I'm half black? I'm black from the belly button down."
"I don't care how hot it is outside. I'm still wearing this polar bear sh*t."
Where in Toronto McGregor dropped gems, his time in Brooklyn was mostly spent walking and yelling and yelling and walking.
"I don't just smell victory....I smell a b*tch."
"This b*tch didn't quit once. This b*tch didn't quit twice. B*tch, you quit three times."
"Hey Dana White....I want to take my hat off to you and tell you you've done a f*cking remarkable job. Twenty one years and guess what? Me and you is getting that money. Me and you. We ain't gotta dress up. I did the mink thing 21 years ago. [Pointing at Conor] This ain't sh*t but a circus clown. And a pussy."
"I run the show. This is my hoe and I threw one dollar bills on this b*tch."
"I love my guy Dana White. Dana White is a smart motherf*cker. He's pimpin' this b*tch."
FloCombat's Pick: Floyd Mayweather
The Brooklyn stop fell far short of its predecessors, but Mayweather's "Money shower" was better than gifting a Jay-Z CD.
