Super prospect Aaron Pico made his long, long, long-awaited pro MMA debut at Bellator NYC Saturday, June 24, inside Madison Square Garden, and all eyes turned his way.

He was the standout, prodigious wrestler and Golden Gloves national champion. He was the one hyped as the "greatest MMA prospect of all time." He was the one all questions turned to at the various media events leading up to the fight. 

He was the one tapping out 24 seconds into the fight. 

Freeman caught Pico with a massive right uppercut, dropping his foe to a knee. From there, he immediately locked in a front choke, ending the fight before it really began. 

In the wake of the defeat, Pico told his corner he was sorry, Freeman talked about the power of belief, and we were all reminded once again that nothing is ever certain in this wild and crazy game.
