NEF 29 Results, Recap: Alexandre Bezerra Wins, Finishes Aplenty

New England Fights (NEF) routinely brings the fire to FloCombat, and Saturday's NEF 29: Stars and Stripes card was no different.

Featuring professional boxing, amateur MMA, and professional MMA, NEF 29 provided plenty of action for combat sports fans across the globe from start to finish.

In the night's main event, Bellator MMA veterans Alexandre Bezerra and Ray Wood squared off, throwing down for three rounds before leaving the card in the hands of the judges. It was Bezerra's superior ground control that won out, notching him the unanimous decision victory and a potential nod back to the big stage.

Also of note, "Rasquatch" Ras Hylton scored a brutal knockout in the night's co-main event, and Casey Kramlich and Jason Quirk both scored knockout victories in the boxing portion of the evening.

In amateur MMA madness, 52-year-old Pat Kelly snagged NEF gold with a victory over now-former champ Rafael Velado, and Josh Jones scored the fastest knockout in NEF history with a four-second drubbing of Anthony Spires.

Keep an eye on FloCombat for the full event replay, coming soon.
