A rematch between UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and top contender Valentina Shevchenko is expected for UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Nevas, Nevada.

Earlier today, MMAFighting.com confirmed the original report made by Chris Taylor at BJPenn.com.

The bout will be Nunes' second title defense after winning the title from then champion Miesha Tate in July of 2016. In December, she followed up the title victory with a complete dismantling of former champion and MMA superstar Ronda Rousey in her first title defense.

Shevchenko is 3-1 in the UFC with wins over Julianna Pena, Holly Holm and Sarah Kaufman. Her lone loss came at the hands of Nunes via unanimous decision in March of 2016.

The bout joins a stacked UFC 213 with other reported fights like Cody Garbrandt versus T.J. Dillashaw for the UFC bantamweight championship, Robbie Lawler versus Donald Cerrone, Fabricio Werdum versus Alistair Overeem and Anthony Pettis versus Jim Miller.
