Norman Parke has missed weight ahead of his BAMMA 28 title-fight main event opposite Paul Redmond.

The former The Ultimate Fighter winner came in at 155.8 pounds Thursday inside the Premier Inn Belfast, where the weigh-ins were being held for Friday's BAMMA 28 event at the SSE Arena. As the fight is a title fight, there are no allowances over the 155-pound limit, meaning Parke missed by 0.8 pounds.

Redmond, who weighed in at 155 pounds,  has agreed to take the fight despite Parke's blunder. He will be eligible to earn the BAMMA lightweight title with a victory, while the strap will remain vacant should Parke pull off the win.

Prior to this mishap, Parke had posted a win over Andrew Fisher at ACB 47 in October 2016 after being cut from the UFC earlier that year.

With a win over Redmond in his native Northern Ireland, many figured Parke was a small step from life back inside the UFC Octagon. Now, however, his future remains unclear, but he will still have the chance to show improvements in his game against Redmond Friday at BAMMA 28.
