Dillon Danis Says He Would Submit Jon Jones In Under Eight Minutes
Dillon Danis has been a big name on the grappling scene for many years, but for MMA fans, he only really came into the spotlight when he was added into Conor McGregor's training camp in mid-2016.

Since then his profile has grown considerably, and less than a year on he's being linked with a number of high-profile fights both inside the UFC Octagon and on the grappling mats. Danis' name recently been linked to a grappling match with Jon Jones after Jones' win at Submission Underground 2 (SUG 2, watch here), however, Danis remained steadfast in the opinion that if Jones wants to enter his world, he's going to have to pander to him to get the opportunity.

"In jiu-jitsu, no one knows who he is," Danis told Submission Radio. "He doesn't have anything in jiu-jitsu. He's a sub-par grappler, and I'm the one with the big name in jiu-jitsu. So I was just telling him to beg me if he wants a big money fight."

Danis was asked what he made of Jones' win at SUG 2 against Dan Henderson. Suffice to say, he wasn't too impressed with the former UFC light heavyweight champion's victory and said that it would be an easy night of work for him if the two ever squared off.

"Oh come on, stop--Dan Henderson … I love Dan Henderson, he's legend, but come on," Danis said. "That's not even… I'm pretty sure everyone knew what was going to happen. I mean, he's like 45 years old and I don't think he even has a guard. If you imagine putting him on his back, it'd be an easy night. I don't understand how, like, they even put that matchup together or even [made] people think that it was going to be competitive.

"I think in a match with him [Jones], I think that I would submit him in under eight minutes. He's too sloppy with his body and the way he moves. I think I would catch him pretty easily, actually. He's a good athlete and stuff, but I can see him disengaging and stuff and not coming forward because when you're coming through a high-level black belt guard, it's not the same as MMA."

Jones recently responded to Danis in an interview. calling him a "douche" and then explaining that he thinks he's too small to fight. Danis gave his reactions, and unsurprisingly, he didn't quite agree with Jones' assessment.

"I don't know how he calls me a douchebag when he does some of the things that he does," Danis said. It doesn't make sense to me. You know, I actually like Jon Jones. I don't have nothing against him. At the end of the day, all this stuff is business, and I respect him. But you can't call somebody a douchebag with the things that he's done. That doesn't make any sense.

"As for me being smaller than him—in the last Polaris I beat a guy that was a world champion and probably weighs about the same as him or maybe heavier and has been doing jiu-jitsu since he was probably five years old in Brazil. So it doesn't make any sense. If you see it, you can see in his voice he's kind of trembling and kind of trying to think of excuses to make. So, it's just that he just doesn't want to lose.

"The video that I saw of him, he looked like he was a little scared, so I kind of don't want to keep bothering him. I don't want to be a bully and push him into it. I'm just going to leave him alone for now. He doesn't seem like he wants to do it. He just seems scared, so I'll just let him do his own thing."
