UFC 209 is slowly taking shape, and it looks like it's going to be a card packed full of hard hitters.

Sources close to FloCombat have confirmed that a heavyweight bout between Todd Duffee and U.K fighter Mark Godbeer is set for the March 4 card in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Both Duffee and Godbeer will enter the contest coming off losses and have a point to prove that they deserve to hang around with the elite of the division in the UFC.

Duffee's last appearance in the Octagon was on July 15, 2015, when he lost to Frank Mir via a first-round knockout at UFC Fight Night 71. Prior to that loss, Duffee had put a good run together, having beaten both Anthony Hamilton and Philip De Fries.

After spending over a year on the sidelines, the 31-year-old announced on Dec. 28 on his Instagram account that he had signed a new multi-fight deal with the promotion and that he would next fight at UFC 209 at the T-Mobile Arena.

If he is to make a winning return, the American will have to go through Godbeer, who will be making his second appearance under the UFC banner.
Godbeer (11-3), fights out of Bridgwater, Somerset, in England and was the 265-pound champion of British promotion BAMMA before signing his UFC contract earlier this year.

Godbeer debuted at UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Nov. 19, when he faced American Justin Ledet. That evening, the size of the occasion seemed to get to the Brit, and the fight was over before it really began with Ledet submitting Godbeer via rear-naked choke in just over two minutes.

No doubt, Godbeer will be looking to bounce back in a big way, and he gets the opportunity to do just that on March 4.
