It was all smiles to begin with, but the mind games have officially begun between the two Polish strawweights set to do battle at UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 12.

Speaking on the "Jim Norton And Friends" show on Wednesday, UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk was asked why her opponent, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, hadn't joined her in the studio as planned. Jedrzejczyk's answer immediately signaled that the niceties between the two of them were officially over and that now it was all business.

"Maybe she's afraid already -- it's an option," Jedrzejczyk said. "I don't know what happened. I've heard this a few times. We went to a few different radio stations already.

"I'm taking my job and my hobby very serious. It is still a hobby and still a passion, but it's my job. I'm very happy for me, for Karolina and for Polish MMA because we are making history on UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden. It's a big deal for me, for them and for all of us."

Jedrzejczyk then revealed that the fight wasn't initially scheduled to happen at UFC 205.

"The fight was originally meant to happen in Poland, but I feel like I'm an international champion -- the UFC strawweight champion," Jedrzejczyk said. "I feel like I must give this fight for all of you guys, so that's the deal."

With the fight now booked, Jedrzejczyk was asked about her preparations. Having revealed only last week that she had moved camp to join American Top Team, Jedrzejczyk spoke for the first time about her motivations for doing so.

"So, I moved to Florida last week," Jedrzejczyk said excitedly. "I changed my team and my head coaches. My head coach is now Mikey Brown, and I'm training at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida.

"Mike was a former WEC champion before UFC bought WEC, so I feel like I have good people around me and that I can trust him and the other coaches."

"Before I was in Poland in my hometown of Olsztyn," Jedrzejczyk said. "I miss it, but it was my choice and my decision to change something in my life. I want to do more stuff here in the U.S., so that's why I moved and I really like the United States. I feel like I can do more here."
